This video essay is based on a year’s worth of text and video diaries, recorded between September 2023 and September 2024. It unfolds as a personal reflection on loneliness and emotional distance between people — a love letter stitched together with maternal memory and the longing to be held. The piece takes the form of a quiet, observational diary, where the self is never fully revealed, but always present as a fragile outline. The text appears as subtitles: thoughts recorded in solitude — memories of childhood, missed connections, therapy sessions, passing tenderness. The visuals are nearly abstract: fleeting patches of light, blurred colors, and soft reflections. Most of the footage was filmed during walks taken while feeling alone.
