Synopsis

Zahra Mansoor is an up-and-coming artist working late into the night in Karachi, Pakistan. Her days move at a relentless pace — hectic, energised, and obsessive — shaped by deadlines, ambition, and the pressure to create. In contrast to this intensity is her ritual of tea making, a slow, deliberate practice deeply rooted in Pakistani culture. We follow the intimate steps of preparing tea: the boiling water, the measured ingredients, the waiting. As she narrates the process, tea becomes more than a drink — it is a grounding force. Woven into her daily routine, this simple ritual restores balance, focus, and creative clarity. The film observes how tradition, repetition, and stillness fuel Zahra’s artistic process, revealing tea as both a cultural touchstone and a quiet source of power.
