Synopsis

Like a Tissue is the first film in a series that explores personal stories about how women offer their bodies to men. In many of our minds, there is a deeply ingrained belief that our bodies do not truly belong to us and that giving ourselves to men feels almost like an obligation that comes naturally. How does this belief affect our emotions and experiences? This film traces a woman’s out-of-body experience as she wrestles with her inner self. In an attempt to cope with the realization that she allows the male body inside hers, she tries to reconnect and recognize her body as her own through guided improvisational movement. The film uses the female moving body and heightens the sound of her internal voice to externalize and illustrate the filmmaker's thoughts through her, creating a juxtap
