it turns not right ça tourne pas rond

The world doesn't go round, but it goes round all the same. To say it, Sophie Guyot stages her alter ego in a dance that is both ceremonial and grotesque. Shot in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the majestic setting is a reminder, in this evocation of the wreckage of civilization, of the omnipotence of nature over man. The central character, a sort of chimera that is both a bride and a horned beast, delivers a choreographic performance based on music sequenced in repetitive verses. The initial observation, “ça tourne pas rond”, translated in a deliberately literal and candid way into German and English, runs endlessly in a loop in this video clip that is as funny as it is disturbing.
