Arrangements for Robotic Arm presents a series of animations created through a hybrid digital-physical process. Each animation is generated as a piece of software written in the Processing programming language, operating within strict algorithmic constraints, typically under 100 lines of code per animation. These programs transform computational logic into motion, using procedural rules to create evolving visual patterns. Each animation's frames are drawn individually with a pen plotter. This method introduces subtle irregularities from the mark making tool into the production process, which lends imperfection and physicality to otherwise precise and mathematically defined visuals. These physical pen plots are then scanned and digitally reassembled into looping animations.
