Synopsis

APANTHROPOS is a performance research project that examines human existence under a microscope, exploring what differentiates the human form from the non-human. The title derives from the Greek word Anthropos, meaning "human," and Apo, which signifies removal—giving it a negative connotation that translates to "cruel." Taking cruelty and pain as defining aspects of the human condition, the artist’s body becomes a manifestation of existential suffering—only to transcend it again into a state of pure being.
