after THAT is an experimental short film that focuses on the moment immediately following a performance—after the applause, after the critique, when discussion begins. Through fragmented animation and physical gestures drawn from real actions, the film traces how language circulates in post-performance conversations, revealing subtle structures of misogyny, authority, and gendered power within artistic contexts. Rather than pointing to a single event, the work attends to the temporal space of “afterwards,” where meaning is negotiated, dismissed, or reasserted. By naming this moment after THAT, the film shifts attention away from the stage and toward the linguistic space that follows a performance.
